BIG UP SOUL:R running things nice n easy.
Very interesting comment that Intalex made about the geezer who posted the 3 hour Intalex/ST/Calibre tune mix on DOA.
Quality as always from Soulution radio.

@ ROLLO – what did Mr Intalex say about that guy? Link to the comments please?
nik_itch is the rehost i posted not working ?
Depositfiles suck :D
comment was made during the show… just before the skc mix…
soul:r yes yes big up.
@ lekke – honey is on promo next week mate ;-)
sick mix as always..
Lynx & Maple – ‘Shaku’
Terrific show as usual!
But I don’t quite get it why marcus is so not amused about that Mix on DOA….I mean, ok, the guy could’ve asked him before doin a mix like that…
but seriously, I wouldn’t be pissed if people made something like that with my tunes because they like them so much….
it’s his right tho to set rules on his tunes I guess, but still I don’t feel this…
not into that 1, not at all
RE: DOA mix
Marcus mate the geezer BOUGHT the tunes and you got paid -so if wants to mix em and then very kindly post em surley its his right ! he didnt nick em off u and he was only paying respect by showcasing the tunes
yes mr intalex u r a genius but get off your high horse and appreciate the love. this dissin has no place in dnb!
big ups again for having this mix here.
i was going to upload it myslef for the breaksblog.biz massive, buy some other gent did it first.
amazing radio show that allways needs to be here.
i’m not feeling this mix plus the quality is horrible … and i’m surely not gonna ask marcus for permission each time i mix & publish my mixes of his tunes i paid for on vinyl … i wonder if he does so for non-soulr camp releases ;)
What the hell is his problem.. the guy has obviously bought all the vinyls (hopefully) and is a fan of his sound so decides to do a mix as a tribute to Marcus Intalex, Calibre, St Files… there are loads of these ‘artist’ mixes on dnb-sets.de and I dont hear any other artists complaining… The arrogance.. get over yourself.
I was going to buy the Mistical LP on vinyl, but with an attitude like that he can fuck himself.. I’ve downloaded it instead!
This is the 3 hour mix in question:

Right?
i guess so
@Rollo: thanks for letting me know, but I’ve had it since summer… the boys sorted me out
Still go buy the Vinyl you Fucktard :-D
ok boss… could i at least wait for the full release, so i get the fancy cover art at least?
yesh thou may
Big up to the Budapest kru!
“What the Fook are you doing Photek”
Life is a Journey takes us many Places through different Tastes Fealings Realms of thaught like yours that Inspired your Journey it takes their Path to different Outputs, Respect the Journey and Force of Life instead of Commenting through it with a open and closed Door
lolz so true, marcus intawhine should stop hating on photek … at least photek is making good money :D
Photek is overrated anyway.. his early stuff was groundbreaking yes, but his recent material is nothing special at all…
Also the new Mist:I:Cal album is a real letdown… whats with the boring electroy bleepy minimal techno bullshit they’re making these days? Calibre is much much much better alone. the only good track on the LP is ‘Mistical Solution’ the rest sucks. get the Calibre EP on soul:r instead
Once again absolute diabolical sound quality. Even just to listen to once it’s still harsh on the ears and even with the great quality of music that normally gets played.
Old Marcus does sound like a bit of a whiney bast, but I guess up to a point you can understand what he is saying. Most of time when people do mixes its tends to be up to about 3 tracks of one artist that would end up on it, not 3 hours worth of their own and their labels back catalogue.
I guess the poor sound quality and his reaction just shows how paranoid/desperate he is about getting his “due” (in the ca$h:money sense) from the music he makes.
nicely put swerve! big up yourself
id have to disagree with kraal when he says the mist:i:cal LP is a letdown — i quite enjoyed it. i like the techno influence they bring to jungle, quite atmosperic and spacey compaired to the liquid / dancefloor sound that calibre usually flexes on his solo cuts….
that bein said, besides mistical solution (which like you said is an amazing track), i quite enjoyed eject, eleventh hour feat. DRS, amen electric, time to fly… crap, pretty much the whole lp is solid !
also, bad mouthing a release thats not even OUT for another 2 months, is simply bad manners bro… com’on man, show some respect….
Actually the album promoed last week……..
Let me start by just saying that I’m a huge fan of the soulr sound. How can you not be with the tunes that intalex and calibre have been dropping time and time again. They’re always 1 step ahead of the curve.
That said, I feel that the new Mist:i:cal LP is a major disappointment. Other than amen electric and eject, which are decent and sonically up to par with what marcus in particular has been putting out for the past year or so, the rest of the tracks are really nothing special at all. They’re just not interesting with recycled and rather pedestrian breaks. DRS and tweed bring nothing. Time to fly is at least 2 years old now and while that one’s not bad either, I wouldnt be surprised if half the rest of the beats were reclaimation projects salvaged from 2nd and 3rd generation hard drives. This is just my opinion, which doesn count for much, but I’ll be letting this one pass.
Sorry mate – I completely disagree.
To me the album is nothing but a statement of genius. Maybe some beats sound a bit dusted and self-referential but I think thats what gives the whole thing it’s vintage charme. Do things always have to sound 100% polished and brand new?
Just listened to the comments he makes during the mix regarding the mixes featuring his (and calibre’s) material on the internet (47mins in)
What a sneering arrogant tosser he comes off as.. what the hell is his major malfunction?? Its a mix by someone who likes his sound.. this is in NO WAY going to stop the DJs buying the vinyl or the non-DJ fans from buying the MP3s online if they like the tunes.. I just dont see what hes bithcing about.. Ive lost all respect for him now and I certainly will not buy any vinyl on Soul:R or produced by him.. petty? maybe.. but its the principle and I can live without it so thats my way of sticking two fingers up to a guy who seems to be doing the same to us fans who buy his records and then want to do a mix with them and post it online for others to enjoy…. where does it end…? all artists moaning that mixes on the internet feature their tracks ? oh right.. they arent.. its just Intalex!
oh and thanks for advertising the 3 hour mix.. im downloading it as we speak.. ;o)
can’t wait for Strafe’s comment ;)
hello? am i that infamous on here? Dear oh dear…. Liked the mix.. good tunes. SKC is a top producer so its good to hear him getting the credit he deserves..
Intalex is a little bitch for moaning about the mix thing tho.. get over it. I was dissapointed with the LP too.. Mistical Soulution is excellent but most of the rest wasnt anything to write home about.. dont like the glitchy bleepy technoish vibes intalex has been pushing of late either.. its all a bit minimal up-yer-own-arse for me.
THE BIZZNESS!!!
hes comment about that mix probably means that its like rapin someone just for the fun.
on the other side, the guys have bought the tunes and so they showed respect.
the mix is pretty good, big up for SKC-his album is big and fat
Downloading this one now. Looks like it’ll be a hot one once again. Don’t understand what people are saying about the Mistical album. I think I have heard pretty much every tune on it now and I can’t say that I dislike any of them. Who cares if some are old. I’ve been listening to Time to Fly since 2005 and I still love that tune! I mean you can’t really say much until you’ve dropped them yourself or seen how they mix with other tunes, they’ve all got that vibe that get’s you’re mind and your feet moving. Outstanding LP from my perspective…it almost makes me forget how disappointing Chameleon is…almost…
Is that 3 hour mix a full Soul:R thing? I can see why he might be annoyed, I mean he’s hoping to make some cash on represses! But I seriously doubt that someone else’s mix will stop someone from buying vinyl. The whole reason you buy it in the first place is so that YOU can mix it yourself isn’t it? He should know by now that there is really nothing you can do to stop this…the guy isn’t making any money off of it or anything…chill out Intalex…
Let me just add that I’m not a big fan of the detroity bleeps of Marcus lately either…but I think ST Files and Calibre kept him pretty much in check for this album…
How sick is that Clartendon tune! Haven’t heard a dubby tune this heavy in a while… on a serious sound system you would have to use something sharp to cut through that bass wall!
new skc album and mist album were shit, only decent tune on either was ‘heartbreak’ on the skc album imo.
BULLSHIT! The SKC LP is quality throughout… and how can u like heartbreak but not the others.. they are quite similar in style.. Never Again is wicked and NEEDS TO BE RELEASED on 12″ Immediately!!! Conquest, Offguard VIP, Worthwhile & Dreams come true all deserve a mention as class pieces of music. so balls. The Mistical LP is poor tho.. apart from Mistical Soulution that is
OK im mad obsessed with Lynx and Maple – Shaku – Dub
FAKKK!!
Intalex needs to focus on making better tunes than on why his ‘fans’ do what they do. Attitudes like his are extremely dangerous to drum n bass.
The MISTICAL LP is all right; we do need more LPs in dnb. But because of one arrogant producer who still thinks trucker hats are cool, i have considered purchasing it on mp3 or worse, not even getting at all.
In closing, Calibre rules, Intalex doesn’t and who the hell is S.T Files? (LOL) (jk)
quality is a bit worse than normal even for this show.. some good tunes, some boring. Not really into Gibble Dub or whatever it’s called. But I still rate Marcus and Calibre pretty highly.. As for the guy doing a mix of those tunes, do you think Marcus would still be whining if it were also other tunes and not just Soul:R? Oh, and his mixing is a bit suspect at times.. still, he’s a don..
even tho marcus never returns my comments on myspace i still love the guy.i like city life and amen electric.i though the album was solid but im waiting for a release before i buy. i never touch promos unless im desperate.btw! no one likes dreams come true?(skc)but i mean marcus is a bitter bastard anyway.him and klute hang out.thats more than a warning sign for bitter bastardness if you ask me.
have a nice day marcus.we all love u.really.
thank god for intalex pushing it forward. drum and bass has gone to pot. calling him bitter is a bit childish, HE IS TRYING TO MAKE A LIVING, how is he supposed to when people are making three hour mixes, for some of the saddos left in this “scene” theyd rather download than shell out. the person who made the three hour mix has every right to do it. but not to post it. can i remind everyone that posting a mix in that way is illegal. he had every right to make that comment, they are his labels tunes for god’s sake. why don’t you lot make some of your own music and see how you feel when someone makes a huge mix out of them.
