Doc Scott & Mc Justyce – Live @ Gamma Funkula 05/2009

Gamma Funkula May 2009

info: gammafunkula.com, myspace.com/31docscott

Gamma Funkula are back on Sunday 3rd May with ‘The Sunday Service’. As we continue to rock the Kasbah and loving every minute of putting these parties together this time we bring the biggest new school names on the planet plus a few legends.

Oldschool talents Doc Scott and Mc Justyce live from Gamma Funkula, Coventry. MC Justyce blew me away alongside Loxy recently with his presence and humour on the mic. We had a similar constellation end of last year and even one from back in 1997 if you are keen.

    here we go again: what exactly are (certain) mcs for?

    no no, really, I appreciate the effort and all, don’t get me wrong! but how’s “yeah yeah yeah rewind blah blah no.1 yeah yeah … dj’s really good … yo yo .. mc too” gonna improve the whole dnb experience for anyone? especially if you got the nicest calibre tune palying….. awwwww come on!

    i don’t like justyce at all on this mix. where are his good old reduced hosting days?

  8. Chiral Anomaly, May 21, 2009 at 18:59

    I here that David. I loved him back at the Blue Note. Minimal input. Always knew to let the music do the work

  9. krq, May 21, 2009 at 20:24

    agree with pauldk, mc could be good if he is not talking to much + his voice is lower than music, my thought

  10. Tim, May 21, 2009 at 21:30

    turn your subwoofer up if the mc is too loud. mcs usually dont work on a home system, completely different perception imo.

    this is what “live” ground breaking drum & bass sounds like . electric vibes & happy smiles inside gamma funkula. justyce is excellent & doc scott amazing . 1300 people in attendance . we loved it , can u not feel the energy & atmosphere, this is a historic selection performed @ kasbah, coventry city centre ……gamma funkula are back august 30th 09

  15. pauldk, May 23, 2009 at 00:06

    @adi
    probably you’re right bout the “live” thing and the mcing working better on a big system with a big crowd and a bit of alcohol or what have you.. also, the complaining about stuff I haven’t paid for is quite unreasonable, I must admit.

    still ain’t diggin it tho
    as krq said, there are mcs who actually feel the music and add to it rather than bulldoze their same old stuff over any tune they come across no matter what.
