  16. ?, August 7, 2009 at 14:12

Nice mix although I agree with this:

This is not dnb this is underground pure electronica music to chill out.

Why is D&B trying to reinvent electronica but coin it D&B at the moment?

At least have the respect to call it electronica

  18. pez one, August 8, 2009 at 02:31

i agree: good music, but it’s not dnb. i pretty much feel the same way about the previous june miller and hidden hawaii stuff. props for the good music i enjoy it, but i do like my dnb at 170 to 175 bpms.

  19. ames, August 8, 2009 at 21:38

    loxy-mix is absolutely splendid!

  20. merc, August 10, 2009 at 08:02

    @ pez one
A lot of the tunes in the loxy mix are running at the 170bpm mark. It’s dnb if you ask me.

  21. strawberry, August 10, 2009 at 11:08

    @merc

Agree. Wish redeyerecords thought the same though, as Sumone – Oblivion has been placed in their Dubstep section and so missed the promos!! That tune is hurting me at the moment…

  22. TheGibberTwitch » Loxy & June Miller – Cylon & Xtinction Agenda Podcasts 1 & 2, August 10, 2009 at 11:19

[...] June Miller have received a lot of love on this blog over the last 6 months or so and here is some more. Cylon label boss Loxy also steps up here with the Cylon & Xtinction Agenda Podcasts. They are show casing the best in deep minimal new school drum and bass and both mixes are really good. I have had them knocking around for a bit but not got the chance to hear them and shame on me. [...]

  23. deadlarge, August 10, 2009 at 15:04

    stunningly deep selection from loxy

    much love

  24. Remedy, August 10, 2009 at 18:33

That Loxy mix is absolutely incredible. I love this sound, can’t wait to pick up most of these tunes!

  25. Hydan, August 10, 2009 at 22:03

Ye absoulutly cainin this mix at the minute fuckin love it

  26. ?, August 11, 2009 at 16:02

@ Merc – go check loads of electronica from early 90′s and tell me the difference?

  27. MikeP, August 11, 2009 at 19:14

Are the links down? I’ve tried to download both mixes at different times today and had no luck :-(

  28. lukaz, August 12, 2009 at 02:18

    Großartig. THX. <3

  29. at, August 12, 2009 at 19:04

what is the track starting on 22min

  30. at, August 12, 2009 at 19:05

    ok, more like on 22:50

  31. jts412dnb, August 13, 2009 at 16:15

i like these tunes but i agree it is not dnb. just because it is around 170bpm doesnt mean it is drum and bass. drum and bass is dance music, this is definitely not dance music. if you played a set of this live i guarantee you won’t have very many people dancing; unless they are tripped out on some K or pyschedelic.

  32. backarts, August 13, 2009 at 20:04

i would not agree that dnb is only dance music, take the old good looking stuff, i don´t think it was made for dancing but it´s definitly dnb.
i´m crazy for new rollers that smash the dancefloors but i´m also very happy that sets like this are here to dl !

  33. jts412dnb, August 14, 2009 at 06:08

yea i guess u have a point. i guess there are just so many sub genres. some danceable, some not.

  34. JUNE MILLER, August 15, 2009 at 21:56

Reviews are special, thanks everyone :)

and it doesn’t matter what genre it is, its the good music part that counts :)

  35. intawarrior, August 16, 2009 at 01:57

    outstanding!

i havn’t heard such quality for a to z for a long long while.

and yes, it’s still dnb! ;)

  36. sir twig, October 14, 2009 at 10:24

    booooorrrrriiiiinnnngggg…..

i think i’d even turn this off in my sleep. hoping the june miller set is more interesting
