    Looks nice! On the d/l…

    drifta

  2. Sad that he got a victim of dubplate culture. I think he would still spin D&B if the politics in D&b wouldn’t be so ruff.

  3. Hell yeah this is what we need more of here!

Historical evidence of the great lineage of electronic musics evolution!

  4. I just browsed through this one, but honestly … I dont like this clumsy, outdated tunes.

  5. “I just browsed through this one, but honestly … I dont like this clumsy, outdated tunes”

Cant believe you wrote that, you cannot be a true DnB head, these tunes shaped the scene today bruv, without these tracks, no-one and i mean no-one would have been inspired to continue to make DnB to what it is today

    Cant believe you said that

    Shame on you

  6. I dont want to deny the importance of this track.so ez going….
but taste differs, thats all about it.
fortunately dnb offers a wide spectra of styles, so everone can choose that one he preferes.

  7. “I just browsed through this one, but honestly … I dont like this clumsy, outdated tunes”

Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it!!!

  8. I just started listening to this mix. The tunes are great but the mixing (so far) is scary to say the least.

  9. “Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it!!!”
Where is the connection to this statement?
Anyway, diversity not only in music is a great thing, but a consequence is: everyone has his own justification in taste and style. what is the problem about that?

  10. Fair point some tracks that are real old can be clumsy as you say…but look at the track list.
    doc scott – far away
    nookie – only you
    goldie – angel
    wax doctor – kid caprice.
    internal affairs (4hero & goldie)
    etcetc

There what u call timeless not clumsy.

  11. Big ups To the dnb community. YO!!! this guy is one of the pioneers, come on now. This is set is tight!!!!!!! A Classic set from one of the rarest dj/producer. FYI, for the uneducated dnb listener. dnb for what it is called now came from house, breakbeats which evolved into jungle then the new school drum and bass!!!!!. So if anyone is really listening you would know that this is dnb at its earliest stage. But thank you to the individual who shared this mix. Thank YOU!!!! Also the first track on Geralds set is Adam F’s Circles and one other thing remember this set is from 1995 do you really think mixing was at its peak? If anyone was around it wasnt about who can mix good, its really about the music…

  12. …but no good music comes out when one mixes real bad, aiight? ;)
so if its about the music how can it be that a main man like a.g.c.g. (who i really respect) dosent mix it up right?

  13. been listenin to this for days and days… the tune selection is as PROPER as it gets, brings back lots of memories and emotions
and yes, mixing isnt as tight as it could be, but still this is one of the sets YOU SHOULD NOT MISS… and with repeated listening you get to know the bad mixes and accept them for what they are… just minor glitches in an essentially wicked, wicked set

  14. brings me back to my first parties…..i luv the organic sounds and i luvd the mix.

  15. this is classic shit respect….. everyone needs to hear old FBD project (Neil Trix) stuff, Internal Affairs is for me the high point of DnB full stop.
    Respect your heritage.
    Peace

  16. I been trying to track down some of these tunes, but they’re old as fuck! Anyone got any good leads?

  17. ummm i think that track listing is not correct cos i got circles adam f and roni size time stretch as the first two tunes and err photek tune i think was called water margin or summink some where inthis set?? confused!!!! (easily done)

  18. I’ve been able to track down the majority of tracks on this mix. I love this mix, though it IS a little rough around the edges mixwise, but I won’t discredit it. I love the oldschool dnb era (1991-2001) because of the sick beats, throbbing basslines, and melodic pads turned primitive 80s techno into futuristic ear candy. I spun some classic 1994 vinyl for my dnb set in 2002 one time and people, mainly, young’uns thought it was brand new. So I cracked a smile and educated ’em. I love how universal and a head of its time jungle-dnb was.
