shyguy fell in love with drum’n’bass in 1996 and has been addicted ever since. He began playing out in the Wilmington area in 1997, and finally joined a determined weekly that would grow to become “Rinse & Repeat” in 2000. Having played alongside artists such as John B, E-Sassin, Total Science ,High Contrast, Dara, DJ Wally, Concord Dawn and Bailey, shyguy’s sets range anywhere from Liquid Funk to Techstep.

“I can’t really decide on any one sound. Just depends what kind of mood I’m in and what I think the crowd would like to hear. I buy stuff from all the sub-genres of DnB. If I like it, I like it.”

shyguy can be heard at various events around the state and on Rinse & Repeat Online Radio. He also has taken over as webmaster of NCDnB.com and is responsible for various technical aspects of the site, along with the rest of team NCDnB.
