“This is a 30 minute mix using today’s advanced computer software to create what I call “Tecnological Turntablism”…”
“… I have used my computer instead of decks to make the ultimate perfect mix with some turntablism style chopping mixed in. I am a Drum ‘n’ Bass producer who makes tunes which are break-beat orientated so I applied the techniques from chopping, slicing, pitch shifting and time-stretching up breaks to actual tunes. Some tunes have just been pulled apart so much that I can only describe the state of them as mince-meated.
I have centred the mix around breaks and beats mostly but try to vary the mood of the tracks quite a lot – from angry, darkside and ghetto to chilled, spaced out landscapes. Another thing which is varied is the periods in which the tracks were made. I have put tracks from 2004 and 1995 in the mix to give the audience a timeless experience and include my all time favourites.
