  1. kevin…….HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, ed.lit was here fool. NORTH CAROLINA HAS THE BEST STATESIDE DNB. Sorry Cali…

I have never heard a NC dj “mess up.”

Nice guys to boot, at least since Kevin got his hair cut.

  2. Yes Tim… Hear hear! ;) Lovin Reaching Deeper, liquid/dubby crossover ting, beautiful piece of music… Also (bit old now, but still a diamond), Drifter – She gives me forever. Deep deepness from the depths!!! :) Big up Basic Operations, wicked mix. Peace.

  3. An excellent mix!! really good stuff as always from Basic Ops.. think the original of drifting on an aspect is better but the vip is still great.. release info anyone?

Also Drifter – She gives me forever isnt an old tune.. thats one of the problems with drum&bass… the music seems to be too throwaway now… too much excellent music but cos all the big DJs play the stuff on dub by the time it gets released people think its old, which is a shame!

Also the ridiculous censorship on this site is getting out of hand

  4. @ Strafe – i heard its scheduled to drop on Liquid V Club Sessions Vol 2, hopefully will be on ep1!

  5. well la-de-dah Mr MrQuito…
I play out alot as well but only big house parties,, im under no illusion that im a big DJ or anything… but people love to hear classics (pre 2000) but they like to get a chance to hear quality tunes like ‘she gives me forever’ and this doesnt happen if DJs play it once out then put it to the back of the box to make room for new promos… trust me I buy a shit load of promos every week… its like a drug.. i like to have the proper releases sometimes if the label usually makes cool sleeves but its hard to miss a promo… although sayin that they normally come out a month after the promo (by which time its old) ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!

  6. Yeah saw this at work and was really wanting to wrap my ears around it. Someone please rehost. Basip Ops always holding it down.

  7. promos are promos. tis so many timeless tunes that have been slept on in the last 5 years so why not play a few of them. nothing worse than a set of the top 20 newest dnb white labels that every man and his dog are on. alot of djs lack substance imo. sall about the ride!!

this isnt aimed at basic ops. they are doing good tings.

  8. @ STRAFE

Exactly two comments have been deleted in 1 1/2 years of bb buisness.

  9. Thankx for the rehost. Now just hope the link still works when I get off the job today.

  10. @ strafe: Fairplay, good point… I’m a classics man myself. But the tunes old s:p
    Peace

@ CALESS: Come round ere thinking ur bad bruv!!! ;) Eh? Teaming up on ur bredjin wiv random man… Jokes, you know I love my fresh promos b/w raw congo natty mayhem!!! Ez m8, will get in touch nxt week. Peace.

  11. @ rollo: Another good point also, nothing worse than an up n coming/bedroom dj thinking there Andy C… Dropping raw dubs thinking they r gonna get props… But, a: If you’ve got it flaunt it. & b: The only people that label a dj cus they are playing fresh cuts have drank a bit 2 much haterade!!! In my humble opinion :) Peace.

  12. easy quito. yeah test press/dubplate politics are well funny. have heard many funny stories. people playing sets of dubs they arent ment to have. people selling dvds of dnb mp3 on ebay. i dont believe this is good for anyone.
quito could be the simon cowell of breaksblog – just joking …

  13. Ok… Rant over :) Need 2 take a deep breath, don’t i!!! Dubplate politics, same as the real stuff really… Stressfull n boring. Peace.

  14. Simon Cowell indeed ;) I’m not that much of an arsehole… My dress sense is better, got the lowriders… None for trousers cuting off the circulation @ the armpit!!!

  15. this mix is amazing!
    really like the last tune!!
2 many good mixsets here at the moment!
keep up the good work, breaksblogcrew.

  16. Actually wasnt too impressed with most of the tracks of this one. Some good mixing tucked away in here though. I think this is one that will have to grow on me over the course of a few listens.

  17. Drifter – She gives me forever

Does anyone know what the Classical music sample is that opens the tune…
or is that an original comp?

I alreay know about the B Levi vocal sample….

Im talkin about the Impressionist tingy that opens – it sound like Debussy…or Ravel…

    any one know?

  18. anyone know what 5th tune is ? it’s definetely not fat boy slim -wonderful life (marky rmx) although the vocal part is from that tune.
