Not only does he constantly keep repeating the “SAME SHIT,” all over. But he’s also bites off the style of a World Famous MC.

    Which is……..”Del tha Funkee Homosaipan” from San Francisco, Oakland CA .

    You may have heard of this guy from various projects like “Dan tha Automator” who is also Japanese producer and DJ just like “Makoto”, or the “Hieroglyphics Crew”. “MC Del” also was the voice of a “ghost rapper,” when he did the collaboration with the rock band “Blur” from England who changed there old name to the “Gorillaz.” They had did some videos on MTV in the past .

    If you do not believe me that “MC Conrad” bite’s off the style of “MC Del tha Funkee Homosaipan” , then you guys here at Breaksblog need to seriously listen to some of “Del tha Funkee Homosaipan” past Albums. If you guys have any free downloading software or shareware………

    I suggest you guys download some of “MC Del’s” music and see for yourself!!!!!

Maybe those rules need to be advertised a bit more… Maybe a “I agree to the rules” checkbox next to the “Submit” button would be a good idea – not allowing people to submit a comment if they dont check it… That way, you could put a clause in the rules saying that if they are broken, your IP could be banned resulting in not being able to access the site.

    Who cares ? Stay calm and positive, be objective and don’t stab anybody’s back. That’s the cause. Biting styles is one thing but hating on somebody who’ s just doing his thing is another. No matter how well known or accepted this person is in certain “scenes” or whatever.

    I don’t need any judge to tell me what i have to like or not.

    Personally itotally respect somebody’s creativity. If it fits with me, fine, otherwise, nobody forces me to listen. So what the dilly ? I don’t define personality through my own personal (or musical) tastes. Because that would be something i would feel really pissed about.

  29. not really feeling Deeizm’s style at all… but fairplay, she does work hard and does her best to entertain the masses. I think mc’ing is a skill that takes many years to develop, just like dj’ing or producing. I heard Deeizm saying that she’s only been doing it since 03.. so hopefully she’ll get better in years to come.
    Conrad on the other hand has been in the game for years, and he seems to flow better on the mic. About him biting Del the funky homosapian’s style.. i dont think thats totally true. Ok, he might have a similar style, but u can tell that all his verses were done spontaneously.

  33. ok, i have been on here a while getting mixes and finally had to sign up to put in my two cents.Some of the stuff said in these comments on almost all mixes are just getting worse and worse..first off all of this negitivity is bad for Drum and Bass…many of you forget that this music only started 10 years ago and has not gotten the following it deserves.It makes it hard for promoters and dj’s trying to work there ass off for passion and little pay because they love this music.If it was not for them what whould we have?. I have to be under the assumption that all the people talking crap about mixes,tunes ect are prob like 15 and have been to maybe 2 drum and bass events. They just sit at home downloading mixes acting like they know something about drum and bass.This site is for people to download mixes for FREE and enjoy FREE music.If you dont like it go to your local store and fucking pay for it.I think the internet has hurt drum and bass to some degree. I know some well known producers who don’t post on DOA,ect due to the wackness that goes on.For real people…let’s keep it positive and thank these people for doing what they do.

    As far as the whole Del vs Conrad thing.They are both Mc’s who are good at what they do.It’s two different styles and 2 diff kinds of music.I am also a huge listener of underground hip hop and like del but you can’t even began to compare the two.Why waste your time.

    I had the pleasure to see DEEIZM & MAKOTO a few weeks ago and the vibe was nice.She was bringing it. Best female MC out there imo.She is only going to get better.

  34. Look DJ Panic i can agree to most of your comments and i have read completely of what you have to say. But MC Conrad is a total “BITER” who takes other MC’s Lyrical Styles and try’s to blend them with his. Your right this is not a battle between Hip-Hop and Drum n’Bass, thats my whole point.

    This is about MC’s who steal other MC’s unique rhyme styles. This has nothing to do with music other than the fact that there are copycats who take or burrow rhymes from people who come up with them.

    “MC Conrads” style of flow and Verse is too damm similar to “MC Dels” Flow.

    If you pay “close attention” to the way “MC Conrads” spits his flows, you’ll catch “MC Del’s” style in his mouth. Not only does MC Conrad steals Del tha Funkee Homosaipan’s style of flow,

    but MC Conrad keeps saying the same shit all the time.

    He never comes up with off the top verse rhymes, he only repeats what he say’s at a later time!!!!!

    Please I hope that anyone reading this message will go back to this mix and pay close attention to the way MC Conrad carrys his flow of style. Then if you listen to “MC Del” you will start to notice the two MC’s have very similar ways of “Spoken Word’s”

As far as all this Del vs. Conrad talk I agree its apples and oranges. Del and Conrad are both established at what they do. They both deserve respect. So dont waste time defending and offending. Ive played several of the downloaded mixes for freinds that have never really been exposed to D-N-B and they have all loved the stuff Ive played for them(Trying to spread the love).     Yeah I agree wit you here. I think the intention is to mould a performance quite like any other in that he doesn’t feel the need to sound-off any from the top of his dome, rather he keeps it all relative to the track playing. If you listen to the Progression Sessions for example then you realise that each track Bukem rolls is accompanied by a full two or three verses and corus’s worth of rhyme that has been specifically tailored to that beat. During the mix you can hear Conrad jus adding small samples of his last rhyme to the fading track. Conversely, sometimes he will use small samples of the forthcoming rhyme to complement the incoming track. When the new beat drops, so does the new rhyme. It is a unique approach for drumandbass MC’s to adopt.

    Atleast no-one is comparing Conrad to Skibba lol – that would have been war!

    U might wanna give some respect to the Conrad though, his tune (with Furney) is on there… listen for when Dee hands over to him and he goes off on one, the track is Drum Toolz… big up to the Aylesbury boys, Con and Furney dropping some huge amen breaks.

But during his early years as an “MC” he was beaten by “MC Craig” in a all New York Underground Mic Tournament in Bronx, back in 96′. He later came back the following Year to “Re-Challenge MC Creaig” after losing to his sponserships to take the “Freestyle title” BACK ON HIS BIRTHDAY.

    Yes “MC Supernatural” battled “MC Craig” on his birthday the next year. He later went on to Challenge “MC Juice” from Chicago, in an Underground Tournament similar to New York’s. He beat “MC Juice” and has remained the only undefeted Freestyle Champ. There has yet to be anyone brave enough to challenge him………!!!!!

    It’s cool to have opinions, you obviously believe strongly in yours, but you don’t really make any sense and you’re acting a damn fool.

    I can see a general similairty between Del & Conrad, but there are as many differences as there are similaties. Also, it would blow my mind if you could find any connection between either MC knowing about the other and/or biting from this song or that – a little research will go a long way to cast futher doubt on your claims.

    Going on Google I have two reasons to question your claim: geograpgy & time. Del’s first major-label record was 1991 & Good Looking was established at the same time. Del was in California & Conrad in the U.K. While there are obvious shared roots between D&B and Hip Hop, and certain influences of Hip Hop on early D&B there isn’t much crossover. I would not be surprised if Conrad was influenced by American Hip Hop MCs just as much as Del was probably influneced by his peers and the originators of Hip Hop – but Conrad influenced by Del? Del was probably unheard of in the U.K. when Conrad was figuring out his sound. Claiming a direct ‘bite’ just by underlining the similariteis in their sound is a little outrageous, and you are obviously outraged for some unapparent reason.

    Hey “MC CONRAD = WACKNESS” , I’m going to agree with the senitments of many others on thie forum: you should really think before you speak and behave yourself when you do speak. No one respects haters.     Since many people have “Flamed and Hated” me for my outspokeness of my comments, and the fact that this conversation about “MC Conrad” stealing “MC Del” style is basically over.

    I’ve read everything you have to say, and i’m not going to give you full explation of my opinions becasue. Everytime I do point or weed out a “Lyrical Thief”, I get pointed down and shouted out by others because. I myself won’t fall for “Hyped Bullshit MC’s”.

    I have thought very carefully about “MC Conrad’s Style” before i had made my various accusations against him. I find it vary hard to explain things on such a message board without trying to “HOG” it up for everyone. So here are a few “Key Points and Evidence” I would like for you to see from a stand point of view.

    FACT # 1 – I have done my research on “MC Del” and I have read a few articles about “MC Conrad”. But I don’t agree with you about “Time Differences”? My comments and facts were not about “Who got there careers started first”, rather I focus my views on the “Spoken Word and Lyrical Stand points”.

    FACT # 2 – It doesn’t matter about Time, Geograhpy”YES”, but Time “NO”

    You said it yourself Mark Fox that……………..

    but……………

    He also when on to signed under a Indie Record label called “Ark51 Records” which was the sponsership behind “Dan tha Automator” and Ninjatunes “DJ Kid Coala”. He later joined the world famous hip-hop group “Hieroglyphics” in the mid-90’s who have made severial grand tours ALL ACROSS EUROPE. So it’s highly possible that MC Conrad may have stubbled apound Del’s talents when him and his krew was in Britian touring at the time and later on in the years.

    FACT # 3 – In the meantime while Del was doing projects for “Hiero” he was also doing privated studios collaberations with “Dan” and “Coala” who later on produced his first album “No Need For Alarm” Which came out 95′

    HE ALSO MADE A SONG CALLED “WACK MC’S” which was on his first album.

    FACT # 4 – When Del had finished that album he had already created alot of buzz in the underground Hip-Hop circuit. Which made him a famous MC from all around the world, because of his unique style of streaching long syllables of words into transfixed rhyme formations. This became his “trademark signiture” in Hip-Hop because there was none like him. Also at the peek of his career he made the album “Deltron 3030” which has been heard all around the world when it was released it’s very first day. MC Conrad could have possible heard MC Del’s style by listening to his previous albums he had made years before hand. He could have heard Del’s style when “Dan tha Automator” would travel the world promoting his fellow artist musical works.

    IN FACT……..WHO’S NOT TOO SAY THAT MC CONRAD ISN’T A FAN OF DEL????

    FINIAL FACT # 5 – I mean MC Del has so much albums and collaborated albums put out all over that it’s extremly possible that his style was bitten off somewhere else on the globe. I mean Hieroglyphics do travel all around the world!!!!! Did i forget to meantion that MC Del made a History Collaboration’s when he was the MC for the band the called “The Gorillaz and Clint Eastwood”. And they were a band who was stated to have ORIGINATED FROM BRITIAN???

    So who’s not to say that when MC Del was touring Britian with “Dan” and “Coala” that MC Conrad could have in fact picked up on his style!!!!

    Who knows……….The point is that MC Conrad has specific “Catch Phrases” and “Punch Line’s” that have been said and spoken before by “MC Del”. This is a matter of one origianl MC verses another UN-ORIGINAL MC!!!!
