S.P.Y. – We Fear Silence – Promomix 03/2010

S.P.Y. Black & White

info: myspace.com/wefearsilence, myspace.com/spymusicpage

Brazilian born S.P.Y takes a well earned break from jetting all over the world to play to packed houses and instead holes himself up in his studio to record an exclusive mix for We Fear Silence. With releases out on almost all major Drum & Bass labels this guys discog is more like a manual proving that interest in music since the tender age of 12 has most definitely paid off. Lucky enough to regularly be in the studio with fellow Brazilian Drum & Bass DJ / Producer Marky puts him firmly at the top of any must see list. Pure Listening pleasure…

Promotional mix for WeFearSilence by brazilian drum and bass wonderboy S.P.Y. Heavyweight, cutting edge beats with a touch of streetwise … plenty of disgusting, trademark S.P.Y. bassline pressure inside. Cheers to sable for the MP3. Good stuff.

21 tracks in 48min. nice. pon the dl.

so who is going to be the first to complain about it being 128K?

  2. Kraal, March 12, 2010 at 19:23

    I shall be the first..

Really no need whatsoever to release a mix in this 128k nonsense..

Nobody is going to rip a couple of minutes of a tune from a mix instead of buying a digital file.. besides most of these D&B labels still have their fucking heads up their arse and only release on vinyl.. thus alienating all those DJs who use pioneer CDJs (or any other CD mixing tool for that matter)

I understand theres a lot of piracy online but releasing crap quality mixes is being slightly paranoid..

Yea, a bit overkill with the 128kbps but all good, will enjoy the listen either way.

    Kraal – perfectly said.

D&B labels need to get with the times. Why more labels don’t release their catalogues as mp3s is beyond me; there’s virtualy zero marginal cost attached to each track sold electronically.

To be honest, I’ve pirated tunes simply because I can’t find a legit mp3 for sale and don’t want to shell out the 8+ pounds to get a single record shipped out to Australia. I would have happily paid for a legit mp3 if the opportunity was there.

bitrate notwithstanding, this mix is superb & hasn’t left my headphones all day. cheers SPY!
